1. Website Terms of Use

​

• The content of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

• All design, layout, look, appearance, and graphics on this website are owned by or licensed to the Photographer. Reproduction is prohibited

​

2. Bookings, Deposits, and Payment

 

• Portraits & Family Sessions: No upfront deposit is required to book a session. Full payment must be made within 14 days after the photo shoot, and prior to the delivery of any images. Final high-resolution, edited digital images will not be sent, displayed, or delivered under any circumstances until full payment has been received and cleared.

 

• Wedding Photography: A non-refundable 50% deposit (booking fee) is required to secure your wedding date and must be paid at the time of booking. Without this payment, the date remains open and available to other clients. The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full within 14 days after the wedding day, and prior to the delivery of any final images. No wedding images will be released until the final balance is paid.

 

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

​

• Portraits & Family: If the Client needs to reschedule, at least 48 hours' notice must be provided. The Photographer will move the session to a new date subject to availability.

 

• Weddings: Wedding cancellations must be made in writing. The 50% deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. Because a late cancellation leaves the Photographer unable to rebook the date, the following cancellation fees apply:

• If cancelled more than 30 days before the wedding date, the Client is not liable for the remaining balance.

• If cancelled within 30 days of the wedding date, 50% of the remaining balance (equal to 25% of the total package price) becomes immediately payable as compensation for loss of earnings.

 

• By the Photographer: In the unlikely event that the Photographer cannot attend due to severe illness or unforeseen emergencies, a suitable professional replacement will be offered, or a full refund of all monies paid will be issued. The Photographer’s liability is strictly limited to the total amount paid by the Client.

4. Creative License and Editing

​

• The Photographer is granted creative license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used. The Photographer’s judgement regarding the artistic style and the number of images delivered shall be deemed correct.

 

• The Photographer will provide beautifully edited, high-resolution digital images. Raw/unedited files are never available for purchase or viewing under any circumstances.

5. Copyright and Digital Usage

​

• Under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the copyright of all images remains with the Photographer.

 

• The Client is granted a Personal Use License. The Client may print, share on social media, and copy the images for personal use.

 

• The Client may not alter, edit, or apply filters to the final images. The Client may not sell or enter the images into competitions without the Photographer's written permission.

 

6. Model Release and Privacy

 

• The Photographer deeply respects the Client's privacy. No photographs will be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: website portfolio, social media, or marketing materials, without obtaining prior explicit consent from the Client.

 

7. Delivery of Images

 

• For Portraits and Family sessions, final edited digital galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks after full payment is received.

 

• For Weddings, delivery time is up to 6–8 weeks after the final balance is paid.

 

8. Governing Law

​

• This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

9. Force Majeure & Technical Failure

 

• Force Majeure: The Photographer shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing the services due to circumstances beyond the Photographer’s reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: natural disasters, war, government restrictions (including lockdowns), industrial action, rail strikes, severe weather conditions, road closures, or national grid power failures. In such events, the Photographer’s liability is strictly limited to the return of all monies paid by the Client to date, and the Photographer shall be released from any further obligation under this agreement.

 

• Technical Failure: The Photographer utilizes high-end, professional equipment and takes preventative measures to ensure data integrity. However, in the highly unlikely event of total or partial equipment failure, theft, or data corruption before or during image processing, the Photographer’s liability shall be strictly limited to a full or pro-rata refund of all monies paid for the affected service. The Photographer cannot be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or emotional damages.

 

10. Limitation of Liability & On-Site Safety

• Limitation of Liability: The Photographer maintains Public Liability Insurance. However, the Photographer is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind suffered by the Client or the Client's guests during the shoot, except in cases of proven gross negligence by the Photographer.

 

• Client & Guest Conduct: The Photographer is entitled to a safe working environment. If the Photographer experiences any form of verbal abuse, physical threats, harassment, or severely disruptive behaviour from the Client or any guest, or if the Photographer's equipment is placed at risk, the Photographer reserves the right to terminate the session/coverage immediately and leave the premises. In such a scenario, no refunds will be given, and the Client remains liable for full payment and any equipment damages.

 

11. Operational Controls & Coverage Limitations

​

• Exclusivity & Creative Interference: The Photographer shall be the sole professional still photographer hired for the event. While videographers and content creators are permitted, they must not obstruct the Photographer’s work. The Photographer is not responsible for any missed, delayed, or compromised photographs caused by the presence, positioning, or interference of videographers, other media personnel, or their equipment.

 

• Guest Interference (Paparazzi Clause): The Photographer is not responsible for missed, obstructed, or ruined key shots (such as the ceremony or first dance) caused by guests interfering with phones, cameras, iPads, or stepping into the Photographer's line of sight.

 

• Venue Restrictions: The Photographer is bound by the rules and guidelines of the venue, church, or officiating person (e.g., restricted movement). The Photographer is not liable for any missing or restricted angles resulting from venue regulations.

 

• Shot Lists & Key Moments: While the Photographer will accommodate reasonable requests and group photo lists, the capture of every single specified moment, guest, or combination cannot be 100% guaranteed due to time constraints, weather, or non-cooperation of guests.

 

12. Photographer’s Break & Sustenance

​

• Rest Period: For wedding coverage exceeding 5 hours, the Photographer requires a designated break to consume a meal, usually timed concurrently with the guest wedding breakfast or dining period. The Photographer will not photograph guests while they are eating.

 

• Self-Catering Arrangement: To ensure operational efficiency and personal convenience, the Photographer standardly operates on a self-catering basis and will bring personal food, unless agreed otherwise. The Client is only required to ensure that the venue provides the Photographer with a designated seating area and access to basic facilities to consume this meal.

 

13. Digital Storage, Archiving & Review Period

​

• Review Period: The Client has exactly 14 days from the delivery of the final digital gallery to raise any technical objections or requests for corrections regarding the editing or delivery. After 14 days, the project is legally deemed approved and complete.

 

• Archiving Policy: The Photographer guarantees to archive and backup the final high-resolution images for a period of 1 year from the wedding date. After this period, the Photographer is under no legal obligation to store, maintain, or re-deliver the images. It is the Client’s sole responsibility to create permanent backups of their delivered files.

 

14. Severability

​

•  If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
